The Cleveland community is mourning the reported passing of Jane Ann Aspey, 81, who died following a fatal two-vehicle crash in White County on Friday morning, August 28, 2026.
According to the Georgia State Patrol crash report, the collision occurred shortly before 9:45 a.m. at the intersection of Stovall Road and Duncan Bridge Road, also known as Georgia 384. Authorities later identified Aspey as the woman who suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
Investigators said Aspey was driving a 2018 Ford Mustang westbound on Stovall Road. She stopped at the intersection’s stop sign before entering the roadway.
According to the crash report, Aspey failed to yield to a southbound Dodge Ram 3500 driven by Michael Cameron Limbaugh, 31, of Clarkesville. The front of the pickup struck the passenger side of Aspey’s Mustang.
Aspey suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Limbaugh was also injured and transported by White County EMS to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for treatment.
